Q: |
What, exactly, is it? |
A: |
MathMap is an image manipulation/creation tool for
Mac OS X
(Cocoa).
It is capable of compiling/interpreting a mathematical formula
and rendering beautiful images/movies according to the given
expression. (If you want to get the most out of it, consider
installing the Mac OS Developer Package because compiled code
runs much faster than interpreted).

Q: |
Okay, so what can I do with it? |
A: |
Almost everything you can specify in a mathematical formula :).
You can take an existing image and distort it according to
an arbitrary mathematical formula like for example creating
a ripple using a sine expression or creating a gradient.
You can also have it calculate animations by using time-variant
expressions and return them in
QuickTimeTM
format.
MathMapper uses a special language - so take a closer look at the
language reference
for detailed information and at the
language tutorial for some ideas.

Q: |
How do I use it? |
